Let’s get into it!
The Lowdown On Be Our Guest Restaurant
Have you ever watched the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast and thought to yourself, I’d love to live in a castle like that? Well, we can’t promise you a brand-new home in the Beast’s lair, but you can get the chance to dine in one of the rooms in the infamous castle!
This table service restaurant is packed with stunning and elaborately decorated theme dining rooms that come straight from the classic 1994 film.
Set at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland, this is one place that will be sure to have you and the family creating memories that will last for a lifetime.
First opened in 2012, Be Our Guest meticulously recreates Beast’s castle. Diners have the choice of 3 mesmerizing rooms to dine in:
- The Ballroom
- The West Wing
- The Rose Gallery
The three rooms can cater to a total of 550 guests, and each is regularly full to capacity.
The Ballroom
The first of the three enchanted rooms is The Ballroom, which is beautifully decorated and perfect for smaller parties. It’s got a magical feel that kids, both big and small, will love.
The West Wing
Directly after the Ballrooom on your left is the West Wing. Out of all three dining rooms, this one is undoubtedly the showstopper of the trio. Although small and more intimate than the other two rooms, it’s dimly light and atmospheric and makes for an extra special dining experience at Disney.
Be on the lookout for Prince Adam’s portrait, which eerily changes into a picture of The Beast. Also in the West Wing is the enchanted rose, which is nothing short of spectacular. Ensure you have got your camera to hand – The West Wing provides as much of a visual wonderland as it does an incredible eating experience.
The Rose Gallery
From the Ballroom, if you turn to your right, you will see the entrance to the Rose Gallery. There is a lot to see here, including a huge spinning music box that shows both The Beast and Belle dancing together.
Be Our Guest Menu Highlights
The menu at Be Our Guest restaurant is packed with some of the most spell-binding, high-quality recipes in the entire resort.
One thing is for sure: Prepare to be pampered and enjoy an experience like no other!
When it comes to dinner, the table service restaurant offers a range of tasty delights. Appetizers include French onion soup or caviar and escargot. For mains, there’s the center-cut filet mignon with seasonal vegetables or fresh fish. For dessert, there’s the dessert trio platter or the lemon jam macaron, or the dark chocolate truffle.
Kids under 9, can also take advantage of their very own 3-course meal. For appetizers, there are salads, seasonal fruit, and even a cheese plate to choose from. For mains, the younger members of the family can feel like grown-ups with a grilled beef tenderloin served with a range of sides, or they can opt for something simpler, such as mac n cheese.
For dessert, there’s chocolate tart or the famous ‘grey stuff.’
What’s the grey stuff?
There’s one thing that a trip to Beast’s castle in the Magic Kingdom would not be complete without…
Any fan of Beauty and the Beast is going to be aware of the famous line in the song ‘Be Our Guest’ that goes:
“Try the grey stuff; it’s delicious!”
Sung by Lumiere, the line has produced a real-life ‘grey stuff’ menu option that guests at the Be Our Guest restaurant can sample for themselves.
We’ll be honest; it certainly doesn’t look the most appetizing. Yet, this thick brownie-like dessert (only available at dinner) tastes truly delicious!
Be Our Guest Price Range
The Be Our Guest restaurant is one of the most sought-after eating experiences in the entire Disney Florida resort. This, coupled with the high-end food it serves, means it doesn’t come cheap to dine here.
Breakfast and lunch are usually the cheapest options. For adults, the average price for either breakfast or lunch can set you back $30-$35, and for kids, it can be somewhere in the region of $10-$15.
For dinner service, the restaurant has recently introduced a 3-course Prix Fixe menu, similar to what the resort does at Cinderella’s Royal Table. For $55 for adults and $35 for children aged 3-9, you can choose anything on the menu to eat.
If you are on a Disney dining plan, breakfast and lunch will each count as one quick service credit. Dinner, however, counts as two table service credits.
Be Our Guest: To Visit Or Not To Visit?
While Be Our Guest is undoubtedly an amazing experience for many visitors to Disney, it might not be for everyone. We’ve compiled a few reasons why it’s an absolute must-visit destination, alongside some reasons why it may not be the ideal spot for others.
Reasons to visit
- If you are a Beauty and the Beast fan, this restaurant has to be on your Disney buck list. Even if you only have an hour to spare, try to book in. The decor, theatrics, and food will make for some incredible memories for die-hard fans.
- If you are having a celebration, then Be Our Guest is perfect for a special occasion.
- If you are looking for an upscale meal packed with delicious French food, then there’s no other place quite like this restaurant.
Reasons not to visit
- If you are on a tight budget, Be Our Guest can prove to be expensive. Although the food is most definitely worth the price tag it comes with, there are other eateries where you can get good quality food for less.
- If you don’t have the time to spend 90 mins eating, you might want to consider one of the many other restaurants in Magic Kingdom. Much of the price you pay at Be Our Guest is for the theatrics and ambiance. So, if it’s just a quick bite to eat you want – without the bells and whistles – consider looking elsewhere.
- If you are vegan, there isn’t the variety that many of the other eateries have. Plant-based eaters certainly aren’t the best catered for at Be Our Guest.
Opening Hours
Be Our Guest opens for breakfast at 8 am and finishes serving at 10.30. Lunch service begins promptly at 11 am and runs until 2.30 pm. Dinner service starts at 4 pm and runs until 10.30 at night. However, during off-peak times of the year, these times are subject to change.
