It’s important to note that as of Summer 2022, Disney’s Blizzard Beach has been closed for refurbishment. If you’re planning for a trip coming up sooner rather than later, it is best to plan on visiting Typhoon Lagoon instead.
It won’t be closed forever, though! If you are planning a future trip, just make sure to do your research and check that Blizzard Beach is open when you plan to go.
Planning a Disney World vacation? While super exciting, it can feel a little overwhelming from time to time. With four magical and two water parks, deciding how to spend your time and the extra things might be daunting.
Where to eat? Should I get Disney Genie+? Where can I get a photo with Mickey Mouse? And most of all, logistic questions. Where to go on which days? And how do I get from one park to the next?
All it takes is a little research, hope, and pixie dust to have your trip turn out how you always wanted.
Read on to discover how to travel from Disney’s Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom!
Transportation in the Parks
One awesome convenience about the parks is the wonderful transportation available. Take a bus, monorail, watercraft, or the Skyliner to explore Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.
Or if you’re feeling hot and sticky, take some transport to enjoy a splash adventure at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon!
These modes of transport are free for all Disney park guests, so you can easily travel from park to park. There are many transportation modes out there, so it’s best to take a look at what you need to make your commute as simple as possible.
Transportation From Disney’s Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom
Out of all of these transportation types, there is, unfortunately, no direct transportation from Disney’s Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom. You and your family can still travel between the two parks with the complimentary fare, but you’ll need to take some extra steps.
If you’re staying at one of the many Disney World resorts, you can take the resort monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From there, you can take a bus to Blizzard Beach. Timing varies, but buses frequently come to accommodate a large number of guests.
If you’d rather walk some of the way, you can forgo the bus and take a short 10-15 minute walk from Disney’s Contemporary Resort into Magic Kingdom.
If you are not staying at one of the Disney World resorts, there are still a few options you can check out to make the trip from Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom as convenient as possible!
Minnie Van Service
A unique and growing transportation option in the parks is the cute and stylish Minnie Van Service!
The Minnie Van Service, powered through Lyft, allows you to be picked up to and from any of the park entrances.
You won’t be able to stop the smile when the red polka-dotted Minnie Van arrives to whisk you off into your next Disney world adventure! Fit up to 6 guests comfortably to let the magic continue, and arrive at Magic Kingdom in style!
Minnie Van Service is easy to request, and cars are only minutes away, providing a short wait time. You can feel free to indulge in some tasty alcoholic beverages at one of Blizzard Beach’s cabanas if you know you won’t be the one driving.
Minnie Van Service also operates from 6:30 am until 12:30 am daily, so you can plan accordingly and rest assured that you’ll have the option all day long to return home or to embark on your adventure at the next park.
Traveling from Disney’s Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom takes approximately 7 minutes, making it a direct trip from wherever you are in the parks.
There is an added expense, however; even if you’re staying at one of the resorts, Minnie Van Service is not part of the vacation package. Pricing will depend on the time of the request and the pick-up spot and destination.
Travel by Car or Rental
Another option out there is driving yourself! Driving is convenient since you can dictate when you leave Blizzard Beach to get to Magic Kingdom and when you’d like to leave Magic Kingdom for home.
Driving is still about 7 minutes, and without needing to wait and order a Lyft through the Minnie Van Service, you do save a bit of time. You also need to account for how long it takes to walk from wherever you are to your car, but the extra few minutes might be worth it.
While you skip out on the Lyft expense, you may need to pay for a parking pass. However, these parking passes can come in handy; buying certain ones allows you to park hop so you can park at multiple places throughout the day and only pay once.
Using your car to park hop might be the most convenient, especially if you aren’t staying in one of the Disney World resorts. While the transportation is free and can take you to most parks, getting a direct ride from Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom might require different magic.
Your car or rental is viable if you want more control over departure times. And if you have little ones with special car seats, your car might be the safest, easiest, and most accessible option for you and your family.
Conclusion
Disney World is truly the happiest place on earth! With magic coming to life, it’s no wonder why even adults eagerly anticipate every trip!
With convenient, accessible transportation, your and your family can enjoy all the magic from park to park. Enjoy the multiple options to get you from Disney’s Blizzard Beach to Magic Kingdom! Travel in style with Minnie’s Van Service, hop a monorail and a bus, or drive yourself!
