Disney World’s monorail service offers express round trips to Magic Kingdom guests!

Bear in mind that there are actually two monorail routes that go through TTC. 

One route takes you to Magic Kingdom while also making stops at several Disney resorts, while the second route shuttles you between TTC and EPCOT.

For guests, the monorail begins operations 30 minutes prior to the Magic Kingdom park opening. It will keep running until an hour after the Magic Kingdom park closes. 

Meanwhile, the EPCOT route will stop two hours after EPCOT’s closing time. Either way, you have sufficient time to get there early and stay late if you wish!

To catch a ride on the monorail, you simply need to wait at the designated pick-up points throughout Disney World. You’ll only generally wait for a few minutes, but intervals may vary depending on how busy the park is.

While the monorail is a convenient option, take note that you can’t reach all destinations directly. You may need to take a connecting mode of transport to reach your desired destination within the park.

Parking at Disney World Ticket & Transportation Center

It’s sometimes a lot easier to bring your own vehicle to locations such as Disney World, but you may be rightly concerned about the parking situation.

Adjacent to the TTC lies the expansive parking area for Magic Kingdom. While you can choose other parking areas throughout Disney World, Magic Kingdom’s parking area is the most convenient because of its proximity to TTC.

Here, parking rates apply; typically, standard parking costs $25 a day. More expensive parking options also exist, but these will run from $45 to $50 daily.

If you have an oversized vehicle such as a shuttle, limo, or RV, parking rates are $30 per day.

You won’t have to worry too much about finding parking space, because the parking lot can hold over 12,000 cars! The parking spaces are also designated with hero or villain names to make where you parked easier to remember.

Standard parking is also included as a perk if you are staying at a Disney resort. If you’d like to upgrade to preferred parking, you need to pay the difference!

Once you park your car, you will have to jump on a different form of transport such as the monorail or the ferryboat to get to the different theme parks.

Ferryboat Service at Disney World Ticket & Transportation Center

Disney World uses a ferryboat service to connect the Magic Kingdom Park to the TTC, cruising down the magical waterways of Crescent Lake and Lake Hollywood! 

Water taxis traveling to and from Disney World and the TTC run mostly at 15–30 minute intervals, so you won’t be waiting for long on a good day. 

Guests who want to travel from EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also need to take watercraft services.

These water routes also make several stops at different resorts throughout Disney World, making them a convenient option for guests staying at these locations.

Keep in mind that during busier days in the park, you may have to queue for the ferryboat service. Take the wait in stride, because you’ll get to the excitement before you know it!

It’s important to note that bad weather conditions may impact the operations of the ferryboat. 

So that the rainy day won’t take the fun away, it’s important to consider the weather when planning your trip if you wish to use the ferryboat.

You also won’t be able to bring any luggage onto the ferryboat. Keep in mind also that in terms of accessibility, medical strollers will be considered wheelchairs when using this mode of transportation.

Bus Service at Disney World Ticket & Transportation Center

Nearly anywhere you would like to go within Disney World is accessible using the Walt Disney World Bus Service. This includes the theme parks, the TTC, Disney Springs, resort hotels, and water parks.

Thanks to its wide service area, this air-conditioned and complimentary transport option may be a lifesaver for you on your big day out at Disney World.

The bus service typically begins operations 45 minutes prior to opening and stops an hour after closing. Routes to some parks may have different operation hours, so it’s best to familiarize yourself with all these details before your visit.

A simple way to find a bus service route that is right for you is to find the “Get Directions” button in your My Disney Experience app. 

Aside from being convenient, this app is also a great way for you to feel in control and in the loop with your transport options around the parks.

However, keep in mind that you might need to wait a little longer during busy times.

A good thing to note is that all Disney World buses are accessible to guests who require wheelchairs and medical strollers.

Remember not to bring luggage, as you won’t be allowed to carry it onboard!

Rideshare and Taxis at Disney World Ticket & Transportation Center

Grabbing a rideshare service or taxi to Disney World is a great way to avoid parking fees and simply skip the stress of driving yourself altogether.

If you wish to use a rideshare service or taxi to arrive or leave Disney World, you will generally be picked up or dropped off near the bus stop at the TTC. 

Some ridesharing services such as Lyft will try to drop you off near your theme parks of choice. However, Magic Kingdom is a special case as you would instead be dropped off at the TTC.

The Disney-owned Minnie Van—available for hire through Lyft—will transport you directly to your destination.

The Minnie Van option has room for up to seven guests. These accessible vans have seating for five people and two spaces for mobility transportation devices.

While the Minnie Vans aren’t complimentary, it may be just the mode of transport you need to make your day at the parks hassle-free, convenient, and all the more magical.

Pedestrian Access at Disney World Ticket & Transportation Center

If you are staying in a resort and hoping for pedestrian access to the Ticket and Transportation Center, you may be out of luck.

Because of its proximity, only the Polynesian Resort has direct pedestrian access to the TTC. 

However, other walkways are available that link different resorts and parks together, such as the path from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian Resort. You can then use this network to forge a path to TTC.

Still, Disney World is one massive area. If you’re tired and exhausted, it might be better for you to use one of the other methods of transportation to the TTC instead of walking there.

If you’re in a pinch, the Joffrey’s Coffee kiosk located at TTC serves pastries and coffee. This may be the make or break for your hunger before you get to the park! 

While the pickings are slim, they’re nevertheless good enough to refuel you while waiting for your transportation options and other companions. 

Besides, you’ll always have more delectable options once you’re in one of the theme parks.

Mickey’s Gift Station

Everybody knows there’s an endless supply of hats, tees, and other merch items you can buy within the park. 

If you can’t wait to throw on a pair of Mickey Ears (or if you need stroller accessories), this small gift shop is the place for you!

Aside from merch and stroller accessories, packaged snacks such as candies and cookies can also be found here.

Browse through their offerings, and you might find something interesting while you’re getting ready to hop on to your transportation of choice!

This is a great stop for a bathroom break before heading any further on your journey to Disney World.
