Getting from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to the Magic Kingdom: Your Options
So, let’s begin your journey from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to the Magic Kingdom. You have three options, two of them being official Disney Transportation.
By Walt Disney World Bus Service
Walt Disney World Resort’s Bus service is brilliant! It doesn’t cost a penny and can get you anywhere in the resort super quickly. Plus, the buses come regularly and so will surely fit around your theme park plans.
Just head out of the Pop Century Resort and toward the car park, there you will find the Disney Transportation bus stops. There, board one of the many departing buses, you’ll be wanting to board the Magic Kingdom bus! This will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center and the journey to the Magic Kingdom will continue!
By Walt Disney World ‘Minnie Van’ Service
Disney’s ‘Minnie Van’ service is a Disney Transportation option offered by Walt Disney World resort. Essentially, this option is a taxi or ‘Lyft’ ride, but the vehicles are restricted to the Walt Disney World Resort area – making it easier to get a trip approved quickly.
Simply download the ‘Lyft’ app, select your starting point (Disney’s Pop Century Resort) and destination (Magic Kingdom) within the Walt Disney World Resort and select the vehicle option ‘Minnie Van’.
Vehicles are usually only a few minutes away but bear in mind that a taxi fee will be incurred.
By Car
The Magic Kingdom theme park is around seven miles from Disney’s Pop Century Resort, making the drive from one theme park car park to the other only around 15 minutes. So, hiring a car is always an option. Of course, then you will need to consider the price of hiring a car in Orlando, Florida if you have not been able to bring your own whilst visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
Park hopping with a car has its benefits. Although incurring a daily fee, purchasing a parking permit at one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks will allow you to park at any of the four for the entirety of the day! So, park hopping and experiencing more than one wonderful Walt Disney World theme park in one day won’t cost you any extra!
Plus, if you’re a guest at one of the many Disney resorts, parking at one of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks won’t cost you anything at all!
Transportation and Ticket Centre to the Magic Kingdom: Your Options
As mentioned above, once you arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center you will have two options to continue your journey to the Magic Kingdom. This is because the wonderful land of Disney’s Magic Kingdom is located on an island.
By Magic Kingdom Ferry Boat
Option one takes a little longer than the second but is well worth the wait. Disney Water Transportation!
The Magic Kingdom operates ferry boats, or ‘Water Taxis’, that travel to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance. It is an incredible experience watching the infamous Cinderella Castle come into view as you sail across the water, Disney anthems playing throughout the ferry boat and excited people eagerly awaiting the arrival.
The trip is very short, and boats run every 15-30 minutes.

Option two is to take another Disney Monorail trip.
This trip will be from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom park.
