Docking Bay 7 is a relatively new quick-service restaurant in Galaxy’s Edge, the park’s Star Wars-themed land. Below, learn everything you need to know about this eaterie, including its theme, frequently asked questions, and, most importantly, what to order.

Where Is Docking Bay 7 Located?

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is in Hollywood Studios, a theme park in Walt Disney World outside of Orlando, Florida. 

Disney organizes most of its theme parks into “lands,” each with a distinct atmosphere. Docking Bay 7 is in Galaxy’s Edge, sometimes casually referred to as Star Wars Land.

What Is Galaxy’s Edge?

Galaxy’s Edge opened in 2019, several years after Disney bought the Star Wars franchise. The theme park expansion was a significant part of Disney’s strategic plan behind the purchase. 

You won’t find Galaxy’s Edge in any of the original Star Wars films. Writers and Disney Imagineers conceptualized Black Spire Outpost as a remote station at the edge of the known regions of the galaxy, hence the name. 

It’s located on the planet Batuu. Because it has such a remote location, neither the First Order nor the Resistance entirely controls or governs it.

Everything in Galaxy’s Edge is strictly themed. You won’t even find trash cans that look like they’re from our planet!

What Is the Theme of Docking Bay 7?

Disney decided to play on the gritty nature of Galaxy’s Edge and the fast pace of quick-service restaurants. They made Docking Bay 7 look and feel like a supply and refueling station, in addition to an eatery.

When you’re there, be sure to take a look at the walls, ceiling, and other decor. Every inch has a ton of detail and attention, and it’s worth taking in.

Quick-Service Dining at Walt Disney World

Quick-service dining at Disney World is meant for families on the go. In the “real world,” you might compare them to fast food restaurants.

Quick-service restaurants display their menus on the walls above where you place your order. You get in line, and you tell the cast member attendant what you and your family want when it’s your turn. 

Then, you proceed to the window to pick up your meals. If you ordered for a family, they might give you your drinks on a separate tray, so bring a helper if you have one.

Mobile Orders at Docking Bay 7

If standing in line (especially with children) sounds unpleasant; there’s another option. It’s also convenient if you have a Genie+ Lightning Lane time to make.

Luckily, you can speed the process along by opting for a mobile order instead. On the My Disney Experience app, navigate to the restaurant’s page and place your family’s order. Once you’re in the vicinity, let them know by tapping the button.

Be aware that mobile orders can back up, especially at peak meal times. Always leave yourself extra time.

What’s Different at Dinner?

The lunch and dinner menus are almost identical, with one crucial difference. At dinnertime, you can also order a Ronto Wrap for $13.99 as long as it is after 3 PM. 

According to the description on Disney’s website, a Ronto Wrap is roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw wrapped in pita bread and served with a side of chips.

If you crave a Ronto Wrap during the day, you can get one. You’ll just have to head to Ronto Roasters, also in Galaxy’s Edge, and order one there.

Can you make reservations?

No, you can’t make reservations at Docking Bay 7. It is a quick-service restaurant, meaning that you order from a counter.

Besides Oga’s Cantina, which does not serve meals, you can’t make dining reservations in Galaxy’s Edge. There are several table service eateries in the rest of the park.

Where can you sit to eat your food?

Even though there is no table service dining, Disney still provides tables and chairs. There are several unique tables tucked away in random corners. Let your kiddos find the coziest or craziest one for you to enjoy your meal. 

Do they actually sell cargo?

No, even though the name is Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, it’s just a name. 

If you’re hoping to take home some Star Wars souvenirs, you won’t have trouble finding them. There’s a shop or kiosk almost everywhere you turn.

Can Docking Bay 7 accommodate special requests?

It’s possible, although they’ve covered their allergy and special dietary menus pretty well.

If you want to order something without onions or with extra sauce, that’s not a problem either. You may have to wait longer, though.
