Most Disney World guests don’t bring their towels, though, since the hotel provides them for guests in their rooms and at the hotel pools. What about at the water parks–does Typhoon Lagoon provide towels to their visitors?

The simplest option for procuring towels for your visit to Typhoon Lagoon is renting them. There are towel rental kiosks throughout the property, especially near the seating areas. Prices vary but are usually $2 per towel, but on the busiest days, towel rentals have been $4.
For a family, that can certainly add up–two parents and three kids during the peak season will have to shell out $20 for their towels. Luckily, you have a few other options when it comes to towels for your day at Typhoon Lagoon.
Bringing Towels to the Water Parks
Instead of renting towels from a kiosk, you can carry your own into the park. In fact, you can bring a lot of items with you inside Typhoon Lagoon, including just about any towel, even those with characters from other brands. You’re good to go if it has no offensive or adult language or images.
Technically, Disney doesn’t want you to bring hotel towels to the water park (or your hotel pool), and they ask you not to do so. It would be challenging to keep track of your hotel towels well enough to get them all back to your room.
Moreover, Disney won’t charge you for missing hotel room towels, but other chains might. Check with your front desk about their lost towels policy if you’re staying off property.
Bringing towels is a terrific option if you live locally and are driving into Walt Disney World, and you can load up your vehicle. But if your family has to fly, real estate in your luggage is undoubtedly at a premium, and towels are likely low on the priority list. There’s one more towel option at Disney’s water parks, and it’s undoubtedly the most fun.
Buying Towels at Disney World
Your last option for towels at Typhoon Lagoon is to buy them and take them home as souvenirs. You can purchase towels in gift shops at Typhoon Lagoon or the Walt Disney World property.
Like most things at Disney World, souvenir towels are not cheap. Each towel will likely set you back between $25 and $30 before sales tax, and that family of five will pay well over $100, making the $20 rental much more palatable.
Still, towels make surprisingly good souvenirs. Unlike many toys, figurines, and other mementos, you’ll actually use towels. You can use your Typhoon Lagoon towels as bath towels or at the pool and beach. Each time you take them out to dry off, you’ll remember your fun-filled family day at the water park.
You’ll find the best selection of towels at the World of Disney store in Disney Springs. You can also find unique towels throughout the parks at various shops. One of our favorites is near the Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom, where the towels look like Persian rugs.
You can even turn it into a game–let each family member find a towel during your days in the parks before heading to Typhoon Lagoon. It may feature a favorite attraction, character, or scene. Then, enjoy using them on your sunny day.
Must-Do’s at Typhoon Lagoon
There’s a ton to do at Typhoon Lagoon, and like the four theme parks, there are varying levels of thrills and something for everyone. There are eight slides, a kiddie play area, a lazy river, a short exploration trail, and, best of all–the wave pool.
The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon is one of the largest in the world, and the waves are serious. You can enjoy them with peace of mind since Disney’s expertly-trained lifeguards watch over everyone.
If you could combine a water slide and a roller coaster, you would get Crush ‘N Gusher, one of Typhoon Lagoon’s other most popular attractions. The floats seat two people, so kids don’t have to ride alone. If they want to, try Keelhaul Falls, which has single-rider inner tubes.
Families will love Miss Adventure Falls. On this ride, inner tubes fit between two and four people so everyone can ride together. Bring your waterproof phone or get a cover because you’ll want to capture the looks on everyone’s face.
Lastly, no trip to Typhoon Lagoon is complete without spending time on the lazy river. Grab an inner tube at any of the entry points and float lazily, enjoying the cool water and warm Florida sun. It’s also a great way to get to the other side of the park if that’s where you want to get some lunch.
