If you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom, there’s a good chance that you might be staying at Disney Springs. Although Disney Springs, or Downtown Disney as people in the know refer to it, is a great place to spend your time, it’s also nearly seven miles away from the Magic Kingdom itself.
The good news is that there are plenty of ways to get to all of the action from Disney Springs and back. Most shuttles and buses will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center near the entrance to the park itself.
Options To Get From Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom
If you need to get to the Magic Kingdom from Disney Springs, don’t worry, you have plenty of options. Simply choose one or a combination of several that work for you and your family.
Also, since there are shuttle options from the park back to Disney Springs, you never have to worry about getting stranded.
Ride-Sharing
One of the most popular ways to get to the Magic Kingdom from Disney Springs is to pull up your Uber or Lyft app. Ride-sharing is a great way to get a private, convenient personal ride to the park. Plus, with two ride-sharing pick-up places in Disney Springs, it’s more convenient than ever to hail an Uber or Lyft.
Even if you have your car with you, you might still want to opt for ride-sharing. Parking can be expensive at the Magic Kingdom, and ride-sharing allows you to see the parks on your schedule without having to find a place to park. Plus, Uber and Lyft benefit local Floridians who live around Disney Springs.
Keep these tips in mind to ensure your pick-up is as smooth as possible:
- Ubers and Lyfts can only pick passengers up at designated places
- Depending on the time, you could have to wait a while
- Surges may apply, especially during busy hours
- If you have a large family, you’ll need an economy-sized car

Unfortunately, you will have to walk a little bit to get to Saratoga Springs, up to two miles depending on where you’re staying in Disney Springs.
That can be part of the fun, though. So grab some takeaway coffees and explore that beautiful Floridian scenery.
There are several perks to taking the bus. First off, it tends to be much cheaper than both ride-sharing and parking and paying at the Magic Kingdom. Additionally, you’ll get to travel to the Magic Kingdom with several of your fellow Disney lovers.
Buses run regularly, roughly every half an hour, so even if you miss one, you’ll still be able to grab the next one relatively quickly. Plus, these buses go straight into Magic Kingdom.
Bus to Disney Contemporary

Additionally, the bus is free, which is excellent news for people looking to shave a few extra costs off their trip. Once you arrive at Disney Contemporary, you have two options. You can either walk the half mile to the park, or you can hop on the Monorail.
Drive
Your final option gives you all of the flexibility and can get you to the parks reasonably quickly, but you will have to pay more when you arrive. Of course, you can always drive to the Magic Kingdom if you have your own car.
When you arrive, you’ll still have to walk from the parking lot; depending on when you leave; there could be a lot of traffic getting out. Still, many people prefer to take things into their own hands, literally, and hop into their cars.
