After immersing yourself in the impressive recreations of the Disney and Pixar classics Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid and all the delicious food options in their Landscape of Flavors, you’ll be more than ready to experience the Magic Kingdom.

Getting From Disney’s Art of Animation to the Magic Kingdom: All the Possibilities
Disney World is an expansive resort. Getting around can seem intimidating at first, but once you get a handle on all the options and figure out what’s best for your family, you’ll become a pro at it in no time!
Disney World Bus Service
The Disney World bus service is a convenient and free way to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort property whether you are a guest of one of the hotels or not.
Head out to the Disney Transportation bus stop outside of the front of Art of Animation and find the line for the Magic Kingdom bus. Disney Cast Members are friendly and helpful, so if you have any questions about finding the bus stop, or anything else, don’t hesitate to ask!
Buses run about every twenty minutes. The distance from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom is about seven miles and it will take around 15-20 minutes to arrive. One of the perks of the bus is that it will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom.
Lines for the bus can be long at peak times, especially for park openings, so if you are trying to get there by a specific time to catch the opening, a dining reservation, or a fireworks show, make sure to get to the bus stop a little early. The buses can pack up at peak times too, but the rides are wheelchair accessible, fast, fun, and family-friendly.
Disney World Minnie Van Service/ Rideshare
If you’d like a less crowded option or are worried about running late for an event, Option number two for traveling from the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom is the delightful red and white polka-dotted Disney World Minnie Van Service. The Minnie Van Service runs from 6:30 am to 12:30 am daily. The vans are driven by friendly and knowledgeable Disney Cast Members.
Open the Lyft app on your phone within the Disney Resort, choose your destination to see the price, and order a Minnie Van to pick you up in no time.
The Minnie Van service can fit a family of six, is wheelchair accessible, and includes complimentary use of up to two car seats.
The ride from the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom takes around 15-20 minutes. You can also use regular Lyft and Uber to go from the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom. They will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center as the Minnie Van service is the only rideshare authorized to take you directly to the Magic Kingdom.
Car
The third way to get from the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom is by car. Whether you’ve rented a car or driven your car to Florida, having a car can give you a lot of freedom when traveling around the resort.
If you are staying at the Art of Animation resort, parking will cost you a per-night fee. You’ll then be able to park at the Magic Kingdom or other parks within the resort for free.
It takes about the same time to travel from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom by car, but you’ll have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and catch a ride from there to the Magic Kingdom.
Getting From the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is on an island. The only way to get there directly from the Art of Animation is either by the Disney World bus service or the Disney world Minnie Van Service.
If you are parking a car or taking another type of rideshare, you’ll find yourself at the Transportation and Ticket Center. From there the two magical options to get to the Magic Kingdom are by ferry or monorail.
If you’re staying at the Art of Animation and plan on visiting the Magic Kingdom on multiple days, you can’t go wrong by alternating between arrival by ferryboat and monorail.
Magic Kingdom Ferryboat
Traveling by water is an exciting and beautiful way to arrive at the Magic Kingdom. Your family will feel like they’re in a postcard as you float closer and closer to Cinderella’s castle.
Ferryboats leave every 10-20 minutes. The ferryboat has two levels but limited bench seating. It’s a quick ride. Disney songs piped through speakers get you in prime Disney spirit.
Magic Kingdom Monorail
The second option when traveling from the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom through the Transportation and Ticket Center is by monorail.
It’s not every day you get to take a ride through the sky by monorail. A quick and exciting way to arrive at the Magic Kingdom, the monorail begins service every day 30 minutes before park opening and stops operating an hour after park closing.
