The most magical place on Earth is home to some of the most popular characters in the world. Disney World attracts more than 58 million visitors per year; with its enchanting charm and magical experiences, it’s no wonder people are flocking to this incredible theme park.
One of the most notable features that Disney World has that other amusement parks lack is the popular classic character meet and greets. Meet your favorite Disney characters and interact with them up close and personal. Mickey Mouse is a favorite, of course, but a close second is the elegant and beautiful Disney Princesses.
Although all of the princesses are gorgeous in their own way, one popular princess in particular that gains a lot of attention at the Disney parks is Aurora, also known as sleeping beauty.
Let’s take a closer look at the Disney World theme parks and find where you can meet Aurora at Disney World.
France Pavilion at the World Showcase: Epcot
The easiest place to find Aurora when she’s awaken from her slumber is at the France Pavilion in the World Showcase in Epcot. Aurora visits the fancy gazebo located to the right side of the France pavilion in Epcot daily. If you are genuinely focused on meeting this sleepy princess, this is the most likely place you’ll find her.
She visits every day but at different times, so use your Disney Genie app to look up specific times for the dates of your visit so you can be prepared to meet her as soon as she arrives. She also shares this pavilion with our favorite French Beauty, Belle! So if you get lucky, you may just be able to catch them both.
Princess Fairytale Hall: Magic Kingdom
Experince the royal treatment at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom. Located in Fantasyland, near the carousel and Disney’s Philharmagic show, Princess Fairytale Hall is another place you’ll likely be able to spot Aurora. Here you can spend a decent amount of quality time talking with and taking photos with the princesses, so I do highly recommend this spot for all you princess-loving guests.
The Princesses take turns meeting guests at this location, so be sure to double-check before you head over to the most magical (and also the busiest) park in Disney World.
Perfectly Princess Tea Party: The Grand Floridian
If you’re lucky enough to be able to spend a little extra cash, I highly recommend visiting the Perfectly Princess Tea Party located at the Grand Floridian resort. Here your princess will not only get to meet Aurora, but they’ll actually be able to attend a tea party with her too! You can sing, dine and listen to a story told by Aurora herself.
Little girls also receive a complimentary doll dressed as Aurora, a princess crown, a tiara, a princess scrapbook, and a freshly picked rose. Handsome princes that join the tea party receive a princely crown, a plush bear, and a “best friend” certificate. You won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it’s the perfect opportunity to meet Princess Aurora.
Cinderella’s Royal Table: Magic Kingdom
Another place where you can meet Aurora at Disney World is Cinderella’s Royal Table. Join Cinderella and her favorite royal friends, including Aurora, for a full-course breakfast, lunch, or dinner. During this incredible meal, you get the chance to eat some top-notch cuisine while also visiting with the famous Disney Princesses.
For breakfast, you’ll find baked quiche, royal avocado toast, egg white frittata, and, of course, the famous mickey waffles as menu options. Suppose you choose to splurge a little and attend either dinner or lunch. In that case, you’ll be treated to Beef tenderloin, chickpea Panisse, when will my life begin chicken and pasta, and Jaq and Gus cheesecake as a sweet dessert option. Although it may be out of the budget for some ($45 per adult for breakfast and $67 for dinner or lunch), it really is a great experience and the perfect place to meet all of your favorite princesses at once!
Fantasmic: Hollywood Studios
If you haven’t yet experienced the exciting show Fantasmic, it is definitely time to do so. Not only will you get to see one of the most exhilarating shows in all of Disney World, but you’ll also get to see that slumbering beauty, Aurora.
Fantasmic displays an action-packed, live-action show featuring Sorcerer Mickey. Watch as Sorcerer Mickey gets caught up in a whirlwind of trouble. He encounters numerous famous Disney Villians in the process, including the evil queen, Ursula, and of course, the infamous, ultimate Sleeping Beauty hater, Maleficent.
This show features excellent use of pyrotechnics, holograms, lasers, music, and audio-animatronics. In the end, after you watch Mickey kick some Villian butt, that’s when you’ll see Aurora float on by with her handsome prince, waving to the crowd.
Festival of Fantasy Parade: Magic Kingdom
Although you may not be able to see Princess Aurora at the Festival of Fantasy Parade, you will see her beloved fairies and other popular characters from the movie Sleeping Beauty. The parade takes place in Magic Kingdom, starting in Frontierland; it slowly makes its way through Liberty Square, then down Main street, and then finally ends at the Firehouse near the entrance of the park.
This parade is a fun and interactive way to see some characters while enjoying the magic that is Disney World. Find a spot early to the parade if you plan to get some pictures because, as you can imagine, the crowd gets full quickly.
