Goofy is a classic Disney character and always a treat to meet, but, despite his prominence in the theme park, Goofy can be somewhat tricky to track down.

Where To Find Goofy at Disney World

Goofy makes regular appearances in every park in Disney World, so fitting a meet and greet into your vacation schedule should be fairly easy.

Magic Kingdom

While you’re guaranteed to see Goofy throughout the Magic Kingdom, there are limited opportunities for interacting with him directly.

Pete’s Silly Sideshow

Pete’s Silly Sideshow is the only official spot in Magic Kingdom for having a meet and greet with Goofy. Located in the Storybook Circus area of the park, Pete’s Silly Sideshow is a circus tent where fans can wait in line to have a moment with Donald and Goofy.

Other Places to See Goofy

You and your kids can also see Goofy from afar at several Magic Kingdom events. For instance, Goofy is usually a cast member at whatever show is playing on the Cinderella’s Castle stage, currently Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.

Goofy also walks in the Festival of Fantasy Parade. If you’re lucky, he may even give you a high five as he goes by.

EPCOT

Goofy previously had a regular meet-and-greet location at the EPCOT Character Spot, but that attraction has since been closed. These days, you can meet Goofy when he makes casual appearances at a few different park locations.

Spaceship Earth

Goofy frequently hangs out near the front of EPCOT, by Spaceship Earth. If you get there right when he appears, you may be able to get a picture before a long queue forms.

International Gateway

In addition to Spaceship Earth, Goofy also shows up near the International Gateway. The International Gateway is an EPCOT entrance close to the French Pavilion on the World Showcase.

Animal Kingdom

You can find Goofy in Animal Kingdom at both a meet-and-greet location and a character dining experience.

DinoLand, U.S.A.

Goofy appears in an outdoor area in DinoLand for informal meet-and-greet sessions. The best place to look for him is by the Primeval Whirl Ride.

Tusker House

If you make a reservation for the character dining buffet at Tusker House, you’ll get to meet Goofy, Donald, and more while you enjoy your meal. This restaurant is part of the Africa section of Animal Kingdom, and all the characters wear their safari outfits.

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios focuses a lot on Disney’s live-action properties, but classic animated characters like Goofy still play a vital role in the park’s entertainment.

Grand Avenue

Grand Avenue is quite a reliable area for running into Goofy, especially in the afternoon. Typically, Goofy stands near the Star Tours section of the street.

Hollywood & Vine

You can also see Goofy if you eat at Hollywood & Vine. Hollywood & Vine has a fun retro diner aesthetic and regular character dining experiences.

Extra Goofy Opportunities

Aside from the four theme parks, Goofy also spends time in other areas of Disney World, including a few of the Disney resorts.

Contemporary Resort

Chef Mickey’s Character Dining at the Contemporary Resort is one of the best character dining experiences in Disney World. This buffet-style restaurant is hosted by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and, of course, Goofy. All characters wear adorable chef outfits and stop by your table to say hi.

Swan Hotel

The Swan Hotel, located near EPCOT, offers a cute character dining experience at Garden Grove. You’ll find characters at the restaurant for weekend breakfasts and during most evenings. However, the character appearances vary, so while Goofy makes frequent visits, this is not the most reliable Goofy opportunity at Disney.

Beach Club Resort

Similarly, the Beach Club Resort also has a restaurant with character dining called the Cape May Cafe. To participate in character dining at the Beach Club Resort, you will have to make a reservation for the breakfast buffet.

Since the event is called Minnie’s Breakfast Bash, technically Minnie Mouse is the only guaranteed character. But she always has a few friends with her, usually including Goofy.

Water Parks

The water parks at Disney World aren’t super consistent with character appearances, but you do have a chance of seeing Goofy in his beach outfit. Water park sightings of Goofy often take place at Blizzard Beach.

Holidays

If you are visiting Disney World during a holiday, such as Halloween or Christmas, the odds of running into Goofy are much higher. Disney has many special events during holidays, including extra character meet and greets and festive parties. You’ll also have a strong chance of seeing characters wandering the lobbies of the hotels during the holiday season.

Final Thoughts

Characters are always wandering around at Disney World, but with so many popular Disney characters, the odds of randomly running into your favorite character are somewhat slim. If you have a big dream of meeting Goofy, checking out the aforementioned locations and consulting a cast member is the best way to guarantee your big Goofy moment.
