Princess Tiana is the star of Disney’s animated classic The Princess and the Frog (2009). As an official member of Disney’s “royal family,” you can meet her on your family vacation to Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida.
Where can you meet Tiana at Disney World? Because Princess Tiana has many royal duties, you should carefully plan your visit to see her if it’s on your vacation must-do list. Luckily, you have a few opportunities throughout the property.
Below, read about where you can meet Princess Tiana face-to-face for photos, conversation, and more.
We’ll also talk about other ways to find her, from parades to attractions and merchandise.
Where Can You Meet Tiana at Disney World?
So, where can you meet Tiana at Disney World? The best place to meet Tiana at Walt Disney World is Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom. It’s located in Fantasyland across from the Carousel, in the Castle Courtyard.
Be aware that Tiana is only sometimes in residence at this location! When you visit Princess Fairytale Hall, you’ll be able to meet two princesses, one of whom is often Tiana. If you have a little one with their heart set on meeting her, visit guest relations for schedule information.
The good news is that you can visit this attraction multiple times (even in a single day) and have an entirely different experience!
Tiana and Prince Naveen used to meet guests in Liberty Square behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. Once in a while, they also appeared in the America Pavilion in EPCOT. Sadly, these opportunities have yet to return.
Other Ways to See Tiana at Walt Disney World
Even though the magical folks at Disney only give us one place to meet Tiana face-to-face, you can encounter her in other ways on your vacation.
Rides and Attractions
In June 2020, Disney announced its plans to re-theme its Splash Mountain attraction in Disney World and Disneyland California to a Princess and the Frog theme. The ride is already well-suited to a bayou atmosphere.
Merchandising in that part of Frontierland has begun to feature Tiana and her pals more prominently.
Parades and Shows
Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen appear daily in the Magic Kingdom in the Festival of Fantasy Parade. While they can’t leave their post to talk to you, they will wave and make eye contact. The parade typically runs twice a day.
You can also see them with Louis, the alligator, in Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, a show on the castle steps at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. The park usually does three or four showtimes daily.
Finally, Tiana appears in Fantasmic, the nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The park does one or two shows per night.
You can ask a cast member to find showtimes, but it’s much easier to use the My Disney Experience app. You can even add the parade and show to your plans for the day, and the app will remind you when it’s time to find a place to watch them.
Resort Hotels
Tiana is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and her entire story unfolds in that magical city. Long before the film, Disney already had a Louisiana-themed resort, Port Orleans.
Especially in its smaller French Quarter district, they’ve added many decorative elements and other touches from the film. The hotel also does a special event on Mardi Gras; in past years, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen have appeared.

Frequently Asked Questions About Meeting the Princesses
It’s always best to be prepared! Below, find answers to questions about princess meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World.
Will Tiana talk to you when you meet her?
Yes! All the princesses are face characters, meaning they don’t wear masks as part of their costumes.
Disney puts its princesses and other face characters through rigorous training. They successfully mimic their characters’ facial expressions and body language so well you’ll forget you’re not talking to the real deal!
Can you take photos and videos with Tiana?
Yes, and Disney encourages you to capture special moments like these. There will be a Disney Photopass photographer at Princess Fairytale Hall, so as long as you scan your MagicBand, you can find the photo online later.
Can you meet any other characters from The Princess and the Frog?
Unfortunately, unless the Prince Naveen meet-and-greet in Liberty Square returns, you can’t get face time with any other characters from this film. You can see them in parades and shows, though.
Is Tiana at any character dining locations?
Unfortunately, no. You can’t meet Tiana at any character dining experience in Walt Disney World.
How should you prepare a young child to meet characters at Disney World?
You’ve probably seen touching photos of little ones meeting their Disney heroes in person. So how can you capture the same magic? After all, isn’t it jarring for kids to see a live version of a cartoon?
It can be very upsetting! Try easing your kids into it by showing them pictures online of the live characters in costume before you go.
Try to catch a parade and point out their favorite characters so they can get used to seeing what they look like in their costumes.
Finally, it’s always wise to start with a face character like Tiana. Kids read facial expressions, and Disney trains its actors to stay in character and put frightened little ones at ease at the same time.
How long can I spend with the characters?
Usually, you won’t get more than a few moments with them. A non-costumed cast member always accompanies them and helps keep the line moving efficiently. Have your camera ready and make the most of your limited time.
