A trip to any of the Disney parks is a thrilling experience for the whole family, with a vast array of attractions and rides that everyone is sure to enjoy. And since your ticket includes admission to all the attractions and rides, the next thing you should pay attention to is budgeting for food – but luckily there are plenty of cheap places to eat at Disney World.

There is a wide range of great restaurant options at Disney World and Disneyland Paris. As such, it can certainly be overwhelming to decide where to eat, especially if you have kids. On top of that, ideally, you’d like to avoid a sub-par dining experience too. 

Well, our experts at the Family Vacation Guide have researched the best places to eat at Disney World or Disneyland Paris. We’ve looked at which restaurants are child-friendly, and which have the best ratings and we also looked at different budget options. This should make deciding where to eat much less of a chore so that you can enjoy your Disney trip!

The best-rated Disney restaurants overall

1. Pineapple Lanai, Walt Disney World

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 96.2%

Pineapple Lanai, a Hawaiian fast-food restaurant has come out on top of the 187 Disney restaurants we looked at. On TripAdvisor 96.2% of their reviews rated them as very good or higher, additionally it’s a child-friendly restaurant. It is also one of two restaurants to achieve an overall rating of 5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. 

2. Victoria & Albert’s, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 1,603

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 94.6%

Victoria & Albert’s is the other Disney restaurant to achieve an overall rating of 5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. Located near Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon and is our second-highest-rated Disney restaurant. 94.6% of their 1,603 reviews have rated them as very good or higher. It is one of the fine dining options Disney World offers and has the elegant decor to go with that status. 

3. La Luce, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 2,061

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 93.1%

Coming in third overall, we have La Luce, which serves Italian cuisine and pizza. And of their 2,061 reviews, 93.1% of those rated the restaurant as very good or higher, indicating the sheer quality of food and service, as well as the overall dining experience.

1. Walt’s – an American restaurant, Disneyland Paris

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 76.4%

Walt’s – an American Restaurant comes out on top as the best rated restaurant at Disneyland Paris. They serve French cuisine, of course, but also American dishes and even vegetarian offerings. The restaurant is located near the Parc Disneyland, close to the Main Street USA railroad station. Of their total reviews, 76.42% of those rated this restaurant as very good or better. 

2. Cowboy Cookout Barbeque, Disneyland Paris

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 752

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 76.2%

Next up, we have a fast food restaurant, Cowboy Cookout Barbeque. They serve American and Mexican foods, as well as traditional barbeque-style cuisine. The restaurant is located close to Phantom Manor, and of their 752 reviews, 76.42% of them rated this restaurant very good or higher.

3. Cable Car Bake Shop, Disneyland Paris

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 173

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 72.3%

The third-highest rated restaurant at Disneyland Paris is Cable Car Bake Shop, which serve a variety of drinks and baked goods. Cable Car Bake Shop is located in the Parc Disneyland area of the park. In total, they have received 173 TripAdvisor reviews, 72.25% of which rated them as very good or excellent.

It is located near the Disney Polynesian Resort Monorail, giving you easy access back to the main park areas, such as EPCOT. Out of the 397 reviews, 96.2% of those rated the restaurant as very good or excellent.

2. Aloha Isle, Walt Disney World

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 91.5%

Aloha Isle, another fast-food restaurant, takes the second spot amongst the best “cheap eats” for families visiting Disney World. It is located within Disney World’s Adventureland park, and of the 1,402 it has received, 91.5% of those rated it as very good or higher.

3. Blaze Pizza, Walt Disney World

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 91.2%

And taking the third spot for best Disney “cheap eats” restaurant for families, we have Blaze Pizza at Disney World, Florida. It’s located at the Disney Springs area and as the name suggests, they serve pizza and other Italian cuisines, but also American staples such as mac-n-cheese. Of their total reviews, 91.2% of them have rated the restaurant as very good or higher. 

The best-rated “mid-range” Disney restaurants for families

1. Amorette’s Patisserie, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 487

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 91.2%

For the mid-range budget tier, we have Amorette’s Patisserie in the number one spot, with 91.2% of their reviews rating them as very good or higher. Another restaurant located in Disney World’s Disney Springs, also a short walk from the Walt Disney World Casting Centre. This is another take-out restaurant, specializing in baked goods, such as cheesecakes and macarons. 

2. Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 2,986

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 90.8%

Taking the second spot for the “mid-range” budget family restaurants we have Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. Located in Disney Springs at Disney World, Florida, of their 2,986 reviews, 90.8% of them rated the eatery as very good or excellent. 

3. Zeta Asia, Walt Disney World

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 90.6%

And taking the third spot for “mid-range” budget restaurants, we have Zeta Asia, located near Disney’s World Florida’s EPCOT park. As the name suggests it is an Asian cuisine restaurant and has 415 reviews. Of those reviews, 90.6% of them rated the restaurant as very good or higher.

1. La Luce, Walt Disney World

For the “fine dining” family restaurant experience, La Luce, an Italian restaurant in Disney World, Florida, comes out on top. The restaurant is located specifically near Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. In total, they have 2,061 reviews with 88.7% of their reviews rating them as very good or excellent. 

2. Shula’s Steak House , Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 2,097

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 87.5%

Shula’s Steak House, located in Disney World, Florida, is the third-best-rated “fine dining” family restaurant. The restaurant is located at the EPCOT park, near the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. In total, this steakhouse has 2,097 reviews and of those, 87.5% of them rated the restaurant very good or excellent.

3. The Boathouse, Walt Disney World

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 84.1%

The Boathouse, a restaurant located in Disney World Florida, near Disney Springs, comes out as the third-best ranked for family fine dining. The restaurant serves a range of local cuisine, as well as steakhouse and southwestern food, and seafood. Out of the 5,018 TripAdvisor reviews the restaurant received, 84.1% of those rated them as very good or higher.

1. Pongu Pongu, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 147

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 83%

As for the best-rated “cheap eats” restaurants for adults visiting Disney World, we have Pongu Pongu, located a short walk from the Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Their menu suggests a limited offering of food, however, they do serve alcoholic beverages. Out of the 147 reviews they have received, 83% of them rated the restaurant very good or above. 

The best-rated “mid-range” Disney restaurants for adults

1. Dockside Margaritas, Walt Disney World

Total Number of TripAdvisor Reviews: 148

Number of Excellent & Very Good Reviews as % of Total: 90.5%

Dockside Margaritas serves as our best-rated “mid-range” option for adults visiting Disney World. As befitting their name, they are located in the Disney Springs, an almost dock-like area, they serve a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, especially tempting for parents needing a quick break from the kids. They have 148 reviews on TripAdvisor, of which, 90.5% rated them very good and excellent.

As for the adult “fine dining” option, we have Victoria & Albert’s, located in Disney World, Florida. There are two tasting menus, a range of  luxurious-looking rooms to dine in, and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. On TripAdvisor, they have 1,603 reviews, and impressively, 94.6% of those reviews have rated the restaurant very good or higher. 

Methodology

We wanted to look at the best dining options for Walt Disney World in Florida, Orlando, and Disneyland Paris.

To do this, we looked at all the restaurants for both parks on TripAdvisor, taking the overall rating of each restaurant, and the total number of reviews. We also noted whether the restaurants were child-friendly or not to provide sections looking at each.

We also split the restaurants into “cheap eats”, “mid-range” and “fine dining” to offer options for a range of budgets.

We then took the number of “very good” and “excellent” reviews and calculated the overall percentage of those reviews against the total number. We then ranked each restaurant on that percentage.
